branko Lukic | founder, design and vision
Branko is founder and principal of NONOBJECT Studio in Palo Alto, California. His vision of design as “the space between” the user and the object is developed in his recent book, NONOBJECT, published in the fall of 2010 by MIT Press. Branko has been lead designer at frogdesign and IDEO, two of Silicon Valley’s most respected global consultancies. He has worked across dozens of industries, holds more than [xxx] patents, and his work has received numerous awards and honors. When he is not “heads down” in the studio, Branko teaches in the Product Design program at Stanford University. He has presented his radical philosophy of design at universities, conferences, and design exhibitions around the world.
Steve Takayama | design and product development
Steve is cofounder and partner of NONOBJECT. A master craftsman with a passion for detail, Steve leads NONOBJECT’s product development efforts. Steve has been Industrial Designer leader at IDEO, where spearheaded the design of many successful products across a wide range of industries including CXD, high-tech startups, furniture, medical equipment, and home appliances. Steve holds numerous patents and has won numerous product awards including IDEA Gold, Silver, red dot, ID Magazine, Neocon Silver. Steve earned a B.S. in Psychology from University of California at Berkeley, and a B.S. with honors in Industrial Design from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
Suncica Lukic | branding and design
Cofounder of NONOBJECT & creative designer extraordinaire, Suncica leads the firm’s branding & design consulting operations. Prior to NONOBJECT, Suncica ran her own branding & graphic design firm and has over 18 years of experience, working as a principal consultant to numerous marketing & ad agencies; responsible for overall design direction, team management, & creative concept development. Suncica has directed major projects for a wide range of industries, including food & beverage, high-tech, furniture, fashion, & music. She has won numerous national & international awards, including Golden Brand of Europe, Best Design & EUREKA Innovation awards, Graphis Design Annual Award, & others.
