Industrial Design Interns – starting August 2017

NONOBJECT is a go-to design studio for clients looking to create experiences that positively disrupt. We are looking for an industrial design intern to join us. With a small, multi-disciplinary team you’ll always be working on our coolest projects. We have no B teams, just the A team, and you’ll be on it.

We need you to see opportunities rather than challenges and you’re wired to love exceeding expectations. You’re a team player and feed off the energy of working with others, but when needed you’re equally happy to work independently.

Constraints feed your creativity and you thrive on being able to do more with less. Question marks don’t scare you. You listen closely and when you don’t understand you’re not afraid to ask questions to be sure you get it. A superstar when it comes to being organized and able to stay on task, you’re an out-of-the box thinker who can conceptualize ideas – through sketches, models, prototypes or words – in ways that positively inspire and inform the rest of us.

You have:

  • Are either a graduate or a student enrolled in a graduate or an undergraduate industrial design program
  • Great sketching, experimentation and mock-up creation skills
  • Creation, communication and presentation skills, incl. mastery of Solidworks, Adobe Creative Suite, and Keynote or PowerPoint.

Our convenient downtown location in Palo Alto is within walking distance to Caltrain, restaurants and entertainment. We have weekly fun studio events and outings, and a fully stocked pantry with the coolest snacks and drinks. We offer employees competitive salaries at the higher-end of the market, health and dental insurance, a 401k plan, and awesome professional development opportunities.

Note:
Candidates who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents need to have authorization to work in the U.S. in order to apply. Do not send hard copies or original materials, as we do not return them. No phone calls please.

Can you commit to a 6 month internship?

Note: Applications for shorter internships will not be considered.
